When looking for a psychotherapist ensure you are in safe hands.

It is so important when you are searching for a therapist, especially in the private practice sector, that you ensure you are in safe hands with an experienced and appropriately trained/qualified and accredited professional.  You should always check that any therapist you choose to work with is registered with a professional body such as the BACP and UKCP.  It is also a good idea to meet for a first consultation before deciding to commit to further sessions to ensure you feel the therapy (therapist and their approach) are a good fit for you and that you can build a trusting relationship.
