Confidentiality & Data Protection

Confidentiality:

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapists (BACP) I undertake regular clinical supervision as part of good therapy practice and to maintain high standards of clinical work.  Any client information discussed as part of my supervision will be anonymised and treated as confidential.

Whilst counselling/psychotherapy sessions are confidential, there are circumstances where confidentiality may be breached.  Before sessions commence clients will be provided with a full “Confidentiality, Privacy and Data Policy ” statement so they understand how their personal information is being managed.

I am registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

I hold Professional Indemnity Insurance.

I have Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
